Blueberry Banana Smoothie
This smoothie is a go to snack in our house or often a quick breakfast for myself. I tend to make smoothies almost daily as a snack for my daughter for a couple of reasons. The fact that she loves them is the main reason. But beyond that, they are loaded with nutrition. I always put a combination of some form of organic fruit, mixed with a heaping serving of something green (spinach in this case), a good helping of healthy fat for her development and a bit of protein (hemp hearts in this case which are also a good source of Omega 3's).
All in all a pretty complete snack. Oh, and the other reason to make these is for the convenience factor. I put this smoothie in her Squeasy (refillable smoothie container) and she feeds herself with minimal mess or clean up !
